A varied journey through eastern Tennessee, combining music heritage, mountain landscapes and an outdoor-focused river city, with time built in to explore at an easy, flexible pace.
Travelling through Tennessee’s cultural heartland and into its most scenic regions, this journey moves from the energy of Nashville to the quieter rhythms of Franklin, the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains and the riverside city of Chattanooga. Along the way, it blends iconic music history with time outdoors, offering a balance of culture, nature and gentle adventure.
Your journey begins in Nashville, where music shapes daily life and live performances spill out onto the streets. After time immersed in the city’s sound and story, the pace shifts as you head south to Franklin, a walkable historic town surrounded by countryside. From there, the route continues east into the mountains around Sevierville, where forested landscapes, rivers and wildlife take centre stage.
The final leg brings you to Chattanooga, a compact city defined by its river setting and access to nature. Walking trails, cycling routes and mountain viewpoints sit alongside a growing food and arts scene, creating a fitting conclusion to a journey that feels active without being rushed.
