Bespoke Quebec Holidays

Canada’s largest province has thriving cities that blend colonial and modern French-Canadian styles, charming towns serving gourmet gastronomy, stunning national parks with panoramic scenery and some of the best whale-watching in the country.

Experience something a little different with Quebec holidays, tailor-made by Journeyscape. With its French influence, historic cities, and strong sense of identity, Quebec feels distinct from anywhere else in North America.

There’s a certain atmosphere to Quebec that you notice straight away. In Quebec City, cobbled streets and old stone buildings give the city a European feel, while Montreal blends that history with something more modern and creative. Food, language, and culture all play a part in shaping the experience.

Step outside the cities, and the pace changes again. Rivers, forests, and open countryside create space to slow down, whether you’re travelling in summer or during the quieter, snow-covered months.

Journeyscape builds tailor-made holidays that reflect how you want to experience it. Some people come for culture and food, others for a mix of city and nature. However you travel, we’ll help you shape a trip that feels natural, not forced or over-planned.

English-speaking visitors to Quebec experience as much delightful contrast as crossing the channel from Britain to France, such is the distinctiveness of French-Canadian culture.

Montreal is the gateway city for most visitors on a Quebec holiday with the largest population of French speakers outside Paris, proud of their Gallic heritage. Canada’s second largest city has majestic churches, an attractive old town, thriving festival scene and delicious cuisine.

The provincial capital Quebec City is the only walled city in North America and an alluring step back in time, making it the perfect addition to your tailor-made holiday to Quebec. It is overlooked by Château Frontenac, one of the world’s most photographed hotels.

Beyond Quebec’s cities, its diverse landscapes are waiting to be explored. Mont Tremblant boasts rivers, lakes, forested peaks, waterfalls and beaches with canoeing, hiking trails and abundant wildlife. The region of Mauricie has vast expanses of forests and lakeland in protected areas such as Mastigouche Wildlife Reserve and Mauricie National Park.

Foodies will love the region of Charlevoix, famous for its ‘Route des Saveurs’ (Flavour Trail) that hugs the coast from Baie-Saint-Paul to La Malbaie. Inland, discover some of the most dramatic scenery in the province: high rock faces, deep gorges and waterfalls in Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie National Park.

One of the highlights of Quebec is undoubtedly the Saguenay Fjord, which flows 100km from the vast Lake Saint Jean through spectacular scenery to the St Lawrence River, where a mesmerising array of whales gather.

On Quebec’s Côte Nord, Tadoussac is one of Canada’s premier destinations for whale-watching in Saguenay-St-Lawrence Marine Park – up to 13 species of whales inhabit the waters between May and October.

The Gaspé Peninsula in the north-east of the province is renowned for its forested mountainous interior and wild coast scenery, a haven for birdwatching and whale-watching.
