National Geographic Sea Lion

The National Geographic Sea Lion carries just 62 guests alongside a 30-person crew. Her nimble 152-foot frame reaches remote inlets, where waterfalls and feeding whales set the day’s agenda.

With six Zodiacs, 16 kayaks and a supply of stand-up paddleboards, exploration is hands-on and unfussy. On deck, the open bridge lets you join the captain while the partially sheltered observation deck and lounge bar keep things relaxed.

Single-sitting, unassigned tables foster conversation during casual meals. Cabins on the main and upper decks include private bathrooms, storage, TVs and twin beds; upgraded cabins add sitting space and larger windows.

The atmosphere is warm, expert-led and lightly curated – you’re here for marine encounters, story-rich briefings and the pulse of untamed shorelines.

About National Geographic Lindblad Expeditions

National Geographic Lindblad Expedition’s Alaska vessels carry between 64 and 100 guests in luxurious, yet expedition ready surroundings. Purpose-built Zodiacs launch in minutes; kayaks, paddleboards and a full snorkel locker keep the pace spontaneous.

You’ll share decks with naturalists, geologists and photographers who decode every birdsong, iceberg striation and whale breach, then recap the day in a lounge wrapped in floor-to-ceiling glass.

Cabins are considered and specifically designed to merge comfort with adventure, adorned with large windows, fine linens, ensuite showers, binoculars and refillable bottles.

Meal ingredients are often sourced regionally and with sustainably in mind and are paired with excellent wines, while avoiding the use of single-use plastics.

This is expedition cruising, distilled and quietly luxurious: nothing superfluous, everything judged.
