When is the best time to visit Taos?

The best time to visit Taos, New Mexico is during the autumn months of September and October when the summer crowds thin, the daytime temperatures remain mild and the local mountain aspens turn a brilliant gold.

Summer offers long, warm days perfect for outdoor exploration; spring is quiet but brings unpredictable weather; and winter, despite its cold temperatures, offers excellent skiing and snowboarding at nearby Taos Ski Valley.
