When is the best time to visit Adirondacks?

The best time to visit the Adirondacks is April to October when the weather is warmest and sunniest. Rainfall is quite regular throughout the year, and actually peaks in summer with frequent showers. Summer (June-August) is warm but often rainy with average temperatures of 16-24°C, while autumn (September-October) is the best time to enjoy the Fall colours. Spring (April-May) ranges from cold to mild with temperatures 3-18°C and is an attractive time to see the blossoms as well as the most spectacular time to view the waterfalls. Winter (November-March) can be very cold with temperatures from 5°C down to -15°C with often heavy snow.

What is the time difference between the UK and Adirondacks?

The Adirondacks uses Eastern Standard Time (GMT – 5), observing Daylight Saving Time (GMT – 4) March to November.

What places combine well with Adirondacks?

The Adirondacks combine well with other destinations in northern New York State as well as New England. Albany is 1.5 hours’ drive south, while the Catskills are 2.5 hours south. Vermont’s Green Mountains are two hours north-east.
