Southall Farm and Inn – Franklin

Amid the lush Tennessee hills of historic Franklin, this inviting inn and working farm is set on 325 acres of land, 25 miles south of Nashville.

Southall Farm and Inn has a selection of guestrooms, suites and cottages offering seclusion in a rural setting of rolling hills, heritage crops, orchards and gardens.

The inn is just four miles from historic downtown Franklin, but far removed from urban life. Guests can choose to walk, cycle, or take a golf cart around the farmland.

Luxurious rooms have soaker bathtubs, gas fireplaces, sofas and custom-made wallpaper with designs reflecting the natural surrounds. The most spacious accommodation is in the hillside cottages, which offer complete seclusion.

The two restaurants offer fine dining and more informal cuisine, drawing on the farm’s wide-ranging produce, including citrus and tropical fruits from the greenhouses and honey from the beehives. Guests are invited to participate in classes and tastings.

The spa has treatment rooms, a sauna, steam room and outdoor mineral pool. For more action, choose from activities including ziplining, falconry, fly fishing and guided hikes. There’s also complimentary kayaking and paddleboarding on the pond.

The farm has a sustainable ethos, including removal of invasive species of plants, recycling, energy-saving and composting.
