Discover a mix of city life and natural space with Ontario holidays, tailor-made by Journeyscape. It’s one of Canada’s most varied provinces, where well-known highlights sit alongside quieter, lesser-explored places.

Ontario can feel familiar at first – the skyline of Toronto, the rush of Niagara Falls – but it quickly opens up into something much broader. Lakes stretch out in every direction, forests break up the landscape, and small towns offer a slower, more relaxed pace of travel.

Some travellers want to focus on the big names, building a trip around Toronto, Niagara, and Ottawa. Others prefer to step away from the cities, spending time by the water or exploring more rural areas where the pace shifts completely. Both approaches work, and most journeys end up being a mix of the two.

Journeyscape creates tailor-made holidays that let you find your own balance. We’ll help you connect the highlights in a way that feels seamless, while still leaving room to explore at your own pace.

Canada’s second largest province is its wealthiest and most populous with beautiful scenery and diverse communities cooking up some of the best cuisine in the country, making this the perfect spot on your tailor-made holiday.

A holiday to Ontario should always include a trip to Niagara Falls, a wonder of the world and one of nature’s most incredible sights. Nearby the historic town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is a centre for Canada’s wine region, and it’s worth lingering in Canada’s biggest city Toronto for its huge waterfront, multicultural neighbourhoods and the CN Tower, one of the world’s tallest buildings.

North towards Lake Huron, Blue Mountains has a range of summer and winter adventures amid alpine scenery, as well as the famous Apple Pie Trail. On the nearby Bruce Peninsula, explore the rugged beauty of Tobermory’s shipwrecks and beaches before taking the ferry to Manitoulin, the largest freshwater island in the world.

Killarney Provincial Park’s cliffs, hills and crystalline lakes have inspired generations of artists, while Canada’s oldest provincial park Algonquin is a haven for hiking, canoeing, rafting, fishing and wildlife watching in maple and fir forests. Nearby Muskoka Lakes has equally spectacular forest scenery and delicious food and drink, including cranberry wine.

In the east of Ontario, the historic city of Kingston is a great base to explore Thousand Islands and Prince Edward County, while on the border with Quebec lies the Victorian grandeur of Canada’s elegant capital Ottawa.
