When is the best time to visit Port Hardy?

Vancouver Island benefits from the mildest climate in Canada. With westerly winds from the Pacific keeping it cool in summer and mild in winter. The best weather from May to October is best time for bear spotting, whale watching and salmon fishing. Port Hardy can be cooler and wetter than the rest of the island with temperatures usually ranging 11-18°C in summer (June-August) with driest conditions, 7-12°C in spring (April/May) and autumn (September/October) with more rain. Temperatures rarely fall below zero in winter but it’s wettest November to February.

What is the time difference between the UK and Port Hardy?

Vancouver Island is in the Pacific Time Zone (GMT -8) and switches to Pacific Daylight Time (GMT -7) on the second Sunday in March until the first Sunday in November.

What places combine well with Port Hardy?
