A thriving city in the High Plains of Texas, Lubbock is an American Viticultural Area (AVA) thanks to the region’s rich soil and low humidity. The High Plains grow 90% of all Texas Wine Grapes meaning visitors to Lubbock will get a vine-to-glass experience like no other across the Texas High Plains Wine Trail—and excellent dining to match. 

In town, even more attractions await: Lubbock is home to the Buddy Holly Centre where visitors can learn all about Lubbock’s most famous son and his legacy as a rock & roll pioneer, and the liveliest music venues in Texas. The city is also home to the National Ranching Heritage Center, a unique 19-acre museum dedicated to preserving and celebrating the history and heritage of ranching in the United States, and one of the top 10 University Public Art Collections at Texas Tech, where visitors can see more than 100 sculptures from leading artists.
