Cape Cod is a year-round destination but the best time to visit is May to October when the weather is warmest and sunniest. This is also whale-watching season, which peaks June-August. Summer (June-August) has average temperatures of 18-25°C and can get very busy with vacationers, while autumn (September-October) is the best time to explore the countryside for the spectacular Fall colours. Spring (April-May) ranges from cold to mild with temperatures from 4-15°C. Winter (November-March) has temperatures from 5°C down to -3°C but relatively infrequent snow.
