When is the best time to visit Acadia National Park?

Acadia National Park is a year-round destination but the best time to visit is May to October when the weather is warmest and sunniest. This is also whale-watching season, which peaks in June-August. Summer (June-August) has average temperatures of 16-23°C, while autumn (September-October) is the best time to explore the countryside for the spectacular Fall colours, especially in October. Spring (April-May) ranges from cold to mild with temperatures from 5-15°C and frequent showers. Winter (November-March) has temperatures from 5°C down to -8°C with snow most common December-February.

What is the time difference between the UK and Acadia National Park?

Acadia National Park uses Eastern Standard Time (GMT – 5), observing Daylight Saving Time (GMT – 4) March to November.

What places combine well with Acadia National Park?

One of the biggest advantages of holidaying in New England is the relatively short distance between destinations by US standards. Acadia is easily combined with elsewhere in Maine as well as other states in New England – it’s about 4.5 hours drive north-east of Boston and three hours north-east of Portland.
