That said, the best time to visit is during the spring and autumn months of late March to June and September to early November when the weather is pleasantly warm – not hot and humid – and local festivals of both national and international interest are happening.

December and January are the island’s busiest months when visitors from the continental United States are looking for a warm winter escape, as are the summer months when local kids and families are on summer break.
