When is the best time to visit O’ahu?

O’ahu, like the rest of the state of Hawai’i, is a year-round destination that boasts warm, sunny weather no matter the time of year. That said, the best time to visit O’ahu is during the spring and autumn months when the weather is pleasantly warm – not hot and humid – and local festivals of both local and national interest are in full swing.

December and January are the island’s busiest months when visitors from the continental United States are looking for a warm winter escape, and the summer months are equally crowded with local kids and families on summer break.

What places combine well with O’ahu?

O’ahu is home to Hawai’i’s only international airport, making it the gateway to the Hawaiian Islands. Flights from the continental United States fly directly into O’ahu, and flights from abroad will too. O’ahu is also the main hub to connect visitors to the other islands. Inter-island flights to Maui, Kaua’i, Lana’i, Moloka’i and the island of Hawai’i range from 30 to 50 minutes by commercial airline.
