A lovingly restored gem that captures the spirit of classic Route 66, Motel Safari offers colourful retro style, genuine hospitality and a wonderfully nostalgic stay in Tucumcari. Built in 1959, the motel has been thoughtfully restored to celebrate its mid-century heritage while providing the comforts and conveniences of a modern stay.

Rooms are individually decorated in a distinctive retro style, with colourful furnishings and playful touches inspired by the motel’s Route 66 heritage. In-room amenities include comfortable beds, private bathrooms, a hair dryer, coffee maker, complimentary Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. Selected suites offer additional amenities such as a refrigerator and microwave, while the motel’s original character has been carefully preserved throughout.

On-site, Motel Safari has a relaxed outdoor courtyard where guests can unwind and soak up the atmosphere of this much-loved property. The motel’s central location makes it an ideal base for exploring Tucumcari’s historic Route 66 sights, vintage neon signs and classic roadside landmarks. Complimentary parking is available, making Motel Safari a convenient and characterful stop for travellers looking to experience the nostalgia of the Mother Road.
