When is the best time to visit West Coast of Florida?

The best time to visit the west coast of Florida is from early November to early May with the clearest skies and most sunshine. However, note that temperatures vary between the south and the north. As far north as Tampa, temperatures can dip down to 11°C December to February so it’s often too cold for beach holidays in winter. The best time to visit the central coast is October-November and March-May, while the southern resorts closer to Miami are often warm throughout the year. June to September is the hottest, rainiest period with temperatures over 30°C, higher humidity with regular storms and overcast conditions. August to October is peak hurricane season with windy conditions and occasional strong storms.

What is the time difference between the UK and West Coast of Florida?

Most of the central and southern resorts on Florida’s west coast use Eastern Standard Time (GMT – 5), observing Daylight Saving Time (GMT – 4) March to November. Some counties in the north-west use Central Standard Time (GMT – 6), observing Central Daylight Time (GMT – 5) March to November.

What places combine well with West Coast of Florida?

The resorts on the west coast of Florida are quite close to each other. It takes about 2.5 hours to drive from Naples to Tampa. Miami is two hours from Naples, and four hours from Tampa. The Florida Keys are about three hours from Naples. Orlando and Disney are within easy reach of Tampa, just 1.5 hour’s drive.
