Union Station Hotel Nashville
The extravagance of the Gilded Age is on proud display at this stunning hotel in Nashville’s former train terminal.
The Union Station Nashville Yards is one of the city’s most famous buildings. At the time of its opening in 1894, it was the world’s biggest train station with a 230-foot Clock Tower, gold-leafed Grand Hall, 65-foot barrel-vaulted ceiling, Romanesque arches and stained-glass windows.
Contemporary rooms have unusual touches such as cowhide headboards and red pillows, as well as luxurious bedding, Nespresso coffee-makers, marble bathrooms with plush robes, large tubs or walk-in showers. The best views are arguably from interior rooms facing the breathtaking atrium, while others have sweeping views of the city.
The restaurant specialises in gourmet American cuisines, while the hotel also has a fitness centre and hosts regular live music.
