Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Winnipeg
After landing, simply stroll across the street to the Lakeview Signature Airport Hotel—no shuttles or waiting required. Settle into your comfortable room and take some time to unwind after your travels.
As evening falls, meet your expert guide in the hotel lobby for a warm welcome and a brief orientation. This relaxed introductory session is the perfect chance to get to know your fellow travellers, review the days ahead, and ask any questions before your adventure truly begins.
Day 2 Winnipeg to Churchill
Begin your adventure with an early-morning charter flight from Winnipeg to the remote northern community of Churchill, Manitoba. As you touch down, the landscape shifts to sweeping tundra and subarctic wilderness—the perfect introduction to the “Polar Bear Capital of the World.”
Your day starts with a guided tour of Churchill and its surrounding area, including visits to two key cultural sites: the Parks Canada Visitor Centre, where engaging exhibits bring the region’s natural history to life, and the Itsanitaq Museum, home to one of Canada’s finest collections of Inuit art and artefacts.
There’s plenty of time to explore Churchill at your own pace. Browse distinctive local shops, stop in at family-run cafés and restaurants, or dive deeper into the area’s heritage at community cultural spaces. If you’re seeking a little extra adventure, consider an optional helicopter tour for breathtaking aerial views.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
Day 3 Tundra Buggy Adventure
After breakfast each morning, set out aboard the Tundra Buggy to explore the vast expanse surrounding the lodge. With your expert guide leading the way, you’ll venture deep into the subarctic landscape in search of polar bears, arctic foxes, ptarmigan, and other remarkable wildlife. Each day offers new encounters and photographic opportunities as the changing light and conditions shape the tundra’s mood.
Comfort is key on the tundra, so dress in warm, layered clothing. Each specially designed Tundra Buggy is heated and features onboard washroom facilities, spacious seating, and an outdoor observation deck perfect for photography and wildlife viewing. With plenty of time at each stop, you’ll have exceptional opportunities to watch polar bears interact, roam, and rest in this remarkable wilderness.
Evenings provide a warm and welcoming contrast to the day’s adventure. Return to the lodge for delicious home‑cooked meals, prepared with comforting northern flavours, before settling in for engaging slide presentations from organisations such as Polar Bears International. These sessions offer a deeper understanding of the Arctic ecosystem, its wildlife, and ongoing conservation efforts. Afterward, enjoy time to relax and socialise with fellow travellers, swapping stories from the day’s sightings. And if conditions are favourable, step outside to witness the Northern Lights illuminating the sky—an unforgettable natural spectacle of shifting colours and shimmering light.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
Day 4 Tundra Buggy Adventure
Enjoy breakfast and then set out on a full‑day Tundra Buggy Adventure deep within the Churchill Wildlife Management Area—one of the best places on Earth to observe polar bears in their natural habitat. As you travel across the subarctic landscape, keep your eyes peeled for roaming bears, curious arctic foxes, soaring snowy owls, and the ever‑camouflaged ptarmigan. Your expert guide will share fascinating insights into the region’s wildlife, ecology, and ongoing conservation efforts.
In the evening, enjoy a delicious home‑cooked meal and engaging presentation by Polar Bears International, offering a deeper understanding of the species, their habitat, and conservation initiatives. And if the skies cooperate, you may be treated to one of nature’s greatest shows: the shimmering Northern Lights dancing across the Arctic sky.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
Day 5 Tundra Buggy Adventure, Return to Winnipeg
Your final day in Churchill is spent on one last unforgettable Tundra Buggy adventure, exploring the vast Churchill Wildlife Management Area. With your guide leading the way, you’ll continue your search for polar bears and other subarctic wildlife, enjoying plenty of time for viewing and photography as the tundra reveals its shifting moods and scenery. It’s a fitting finale to your time in one of the world’s most extraordinary wilderness regions.
After your full day on the tundra, you’ll return to town before being transferred to Churchill Airport for your flight back to Winnipeg. Upon arrival, make your way to your hotel for check‑in, where you can unwind and reflect on the incredible experiences of the past few days.
Winnipeg, Manitoba’s vibrant capital, offers plenty to explore if you have time before your onward journey. Highlights include the striking Canadian Museum for Human Rights and its soaring 100‑metre Tower of Hope, which offers panoramic views across the city. Wander through Assiniboine Park, home to beautiful gardens and walking trails, or discover the lush, climate‑controlled biomes of The Leaf, showcasing diverse plant life from around the world. For a taste of local flavours, head to The Forks Market, a lively gathering place filled with food stalls, artisan vendors, and cultural spaces.
Breakfast, lunch and a light meal on the plane included.
Day 6 Tour ends in Winnipeg
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and transfer independently to Winnipeg International Airport for your return flight. Breakfast included.
