Beacon Grand A Union Square Hotel

Originally the Sir Francis Drake Hotel dating from 1928, this 21-storey hotel has been an iconic San Francisco landmark for a century.

The award-winning Beacon Grand, a Union Square Hotel, blends classic Renaissance splendour with modern flourishes. A highlight of the hotel’s artisan interior is the two-storey lobby living room adorned with vaulted gold leaf ceilings, hand-painted murals, Italian marble and a grand staircase.

Rooms combine classic craftsmanship with contemporary amenities – high ceilings, European oak floors, plush bedding, blackout shades, TV, coffee bar, clothes steamers and eco-luxury toiletries from C.O. Bigelow. The more spacious rooms and suites on higher floors have seating areas, grand bathrooms and beautiful views of the city.

Signature restaurant, The Post Room, fuses Mediterranean flavours with California produce, accompanied by live music, while the 21st-floor bar Starlite is a revered San Francisco establishment, attracting celebrities for its parties and cocktails.
