Palm Springs FAQs

Find out all you need to know about visiting Palm Springs.

When is the best time to visit Palm Springs?

Palm Springs, like the rest of California, is a year-round destination, but with over 300 days of sunshine and less than 6 inches of rain annually, this hot desert climate does have some seasons that are better for travelling than others. The best time to travel to Palm Springs is between November and April when the weather is wonderfully warm and mild with daytime temperatures in the low to mid 20s and nighttime temperatures in the mid to high teens. Palm Springs is perfect for a winter holiday as you’ll feel like you’re getting a second chance at summer with a visit. The actual summer months in Palm Springs are not generally recommended as the temperatures between June and September can go as high as 42°C, and unless you are accustomed to hot heat, a stay during this time will be challenging.
