Ride and Dine on the Napa Valley Wine Train

Experience some of the finest scenery in California’s wine country with a 3-hour ride and gourmet lunch on the original 1864 rail line.

Journey back in time to a bygone era of luxury and nostalgic train travel as you traverse the world-famous Napa Valley. A 36-mile roundtrip journey from downtown Napa to the picturesque valley towns of Yountville and St. Helena, this 3 hour ride on the original 1864 rail line, expertly refurbished to its’ former glory, is a highlight of any stay in California’s wine country offering both romance and a sense of adventure.

You’ll board the train at Napa Valley Train Station, just five minutes from downtown Napa on foot – this is a journey meant to be savoured from start to finish, so sit back in the exquisite antique Pullman railcars and let your ride begin. You’ll be surrounded by sweeping sunny views that bring the lush Napa Valley landscape through the curved glass windows into your train car, while the Executive Chef and his team artfully prepare a delightful three-course lunch in the train’s state-of-the-art kitchen located adjacent to your dining area. Feel free to visit the kitchen car to see the chefs in action, and even explore the rest of the train during your ride.

Your gourmet lunch will include fresh Sonoma-grown greens or the seasonal soup du jour and choice of entrée followed by dessert and complimentary tea or coffee. If you’d like to elevate your dining experience, choose a Sommelier Tasting Flight so you can discover the flavours of some of Napa Valley’s legendary vineyards, including Far Niente, Opus One, and BV, Georges De Latour. You can also bring your own bottle from one of Napa or Sonoma’s vineyards to accompany your meal should you desire.
