Whistler

Whistler's stunning location beneath twin mountains, surrounded by lakes and forests, makes it a wonderful destination for adventures in both summer and winter.

View Holidays

Named after the distinctive shrill sound of local hoary marmots, Whistler is not only world-famous as a ski resort, but a popular destination year-round with stunning scenery, diverse wildlife, great food and nightlife and wide variety of outdoor adventures.

The twin mountains of Whistler and Blackcomb stand over 2,100 metres and the majestic landscape is best admired on the Peak 2 Peak Gondola, spanning over 4km. Don’t miss the pedestrian Cloudraker Skybridge in summer, which spans 130 metres over the chasm between Whistler Peak and West Ridge.

Another highlight of Whistler is watching black bears as well as moose and deer in the hills and forests on the edge of the resort. The pedestrian village in the valley below has great restaurants, nightlife and a range of arts and cultural attractions, notably the Squamish Lil'wat Culture Centre, celebrating two of Canada’s native nations, and the Audain Art Museum’s permanent collection of British Columbia artwork.

The road to Whistler from Vancouver is an experience in itself, along the famously spectacular Sea to Sky highway through the Coast Mountains. Take the Sea to Sky Gondola for sweeping views of the fjords of Howe Sound, the surrounding mountains and Shannon Falls.

It’s worth stopping off between Vancouver and Whistler in Squamish, renowned as an outdoor adventure hub with great hiking, climbing, biking and rafting.
