You'll fly across the Cook Inlet by Cessna plane to either Katmai National Park or Lake Clark National Park, accompanied by an experienced bush pilot who will be your bear viewing guide.

The plane lands on a remote beach, just a short walk away from brown bears in their natural habitat. The best time to view bears is usually from mid-May to mid-September. To observe mating behaviour, May to June is best, while July to September is when you'll see the bears catching salmon.
