*Please note, Lake Yellowstone Hotel will be undergoing a partial renovation beginning September 2, 2024. The front desk, standard rooms (in the Sandpiper Lodge), guest cabins, gift shop and tours will remain available until the end of the current season on October 6, 2024.

The oldest operating hotel in Yellowstone National Park, Lake Yellowstone Hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and offers an excellent location situated on the shore of Lake Yellowstone. A refined lodge set in a restored Colonial revival-style building, this refined lodge boasts tall white columns and a grand presence in the middle of the national park.

Inside, accommodations are basic but comfortable. Rooms are warm and wood-furnished, and offer fans for the summer heat and simple amenities. Standard guestrooms are located in the Sandpiper Lodge, Premium rooms are located in the main lodge and Superior rooms are lakeside, additionally offering scenic views. A number of suites are also available as well as a selection of rustic, split-level lakeside cabins.

Hotel amenities include a formal dining room, where both breakfast and dinner can be enjoyed, a wood-panelled bar, and a lobby lounge with a fireplace and grand piano. Boat rentals for the lake are available from the front desk, and various tours can also be arranged.
