Sometimes the best things do come in small packages and Blackwell Hotel is a perfect example of just that. This charming boutique hotel dates back to 1904 and has 10 uniquely designed suites, each with original artwork, ornamental bathtubs, cosy fireplaces and biodegradable toiletries.

Guests can tour the lush grounds, share a drink under the gazebo, let loose at the pool table and unwind on the wrap-around porch. For those looking to explore, there’s also access to a bike rental.

Downstairs in the property, guests will find an organic, locally sourced complimentary breakfast as well as afternoon snacks. A picturesque spot, this beautiful hotel is worth exploring in and of itself before heading out to explore Coeur d’Alene’s lake, park, golf course and restaurants.
