Terms and Conditions of the Prize Draw

These are the terms and conditions that govern the relationship between you, the entrant and Destination British Columbia (“Promoter”), 510 Burrard Street, 12th Floor, Vancouver, BC, V6C 3A8.

ELIGIBILITY

The Prize Draw is only open to entrants who are: guests at IMM UK 2025; residents in the UK during the competition period and prize fulfilment period; aged 18 years or over; in possession of a valid email address; not employees of the Promoter or an immediate family member of the same or any associated businesses; not employees or agents of DERTOUR UK or are an immediate family member of the same; not in any way professionally connected with the Prize Draw (including but not limited to the production or distribution of the Prize Draw).

Please note that entries from automated competition entry sites such as Win24, WeWin4U, Prizewise, Prize500 and PrizeDrawCentre are not valid and will be disqualified.

PROMOTION PERIOD

The Destination British Columbia Prize Draw opens for entries via QR code on 17 February 2025 at 9 am UK time. Prize Draw closes for entries via QR code on 18 February 2025 at 6 pm UK time. Entries received before or after the stated dates will not be included in the prize draw. Please note you will not be contacted if you have not opted in to hearing from any of the mentioned parties, other than to be notified of the outcome on completion of the competition if you are the lucky winner.

WINNER SELECTION

The Prize Draw will take place within two days of the closing date. Subject to eligibility and compliance with all applicable terms and conditions, the first entry drawn at random from all eligible entries will win the prize. The winner will be contacted by the email address supplied.

HOW TO ENTER

Entries can only be made online via the QR code to the competition quiz on Survey Monkey. To enter the competition, you must be of 18 years of age or older, enter a valid email address, plus full name. You must complete all information fields. Only one entry is allowed per person. There is no entry fee, and no purchase required.

PRIZE

• There is one (1) prize of a Holiday to British Columbia, Canada.
• This prize consists of a 12-night holiday for the winner and up to one (1) companion to British Columbia, Canada (“Holiday”).
• The Holiday includes return economy class flights from either London Heathrow or London Gatwick airport to Vancouver airport, with either British Airways or Air Canada (please note that the flights booked are subject to the winner’s chosen date of travel), car hire, hotel accommodation on a room-only basis at L’Hermitage Hotel 5*, Sutton Place Hotel Revelstoke Mountain Resort 4*, Prestige Lakeside Resort 4*, Watermark Beach Resort 4*, Sun Peaks Grand Hotel 4* and Delta Hotels Whistler Village Suites 4*, based on two (2) people sharing one (1) room. All hotels are subject to availability. If a hotel is unavailable, an alternative will be provided at the same star rating. The Holiday includes an excursion for the travelling party to Capilano Suspension Bridge in Vancouver.
• The prize is valued at £5,000, based on travel dates in September 2025. The winner may select their preferred travel dates, subject to availability, but the total cost of the Holiday must not exceed £5,000.
• The Holiday must be booked and taken up by 31 December 2025 (subject to availability) and cannot be taken during the following dates: July-August 2025 and 15 December – 31 December 2025. If the winner wishes to travel during the excluded dates or peak travel periods (including school holidays and public holidays), any additional costs above £5,000 will be their own responsibility and will not be covered by the Promoter.
• The winner will need a current and valid credit/debit card with sufficient available funds in order to check in at the hotels for security deposit purposes.
• Where the winner’s companion is aged under 18 years old, the companion must have prior parental or guardian permission to accompany the winner when taking the Holiday.
• The winner and their companion must hold a current and valid passport, and any other relevant travel documentation required for travel to and entry to Canada. Passports must be valid for travel with a minimum of six (6) months on the date of departure from the UK when taking up the Holiday. It is the responsibility of the winner to organise and pay costs associated with obtaining visas for the travelling party and ensure the travelling party is adequately insured including without limitation covering overseas medical cost. Particular attention should be given to https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/canada for latest updates.
• The prize excludes ground transport to and from London Heathrow or London Gatwick airports, transfers in Canada, meals and drinks, excursions (other than those specified above), attractions, treatments, travel insurance, spending money, personal expenses, gratuities, incidental costs, fuel, parking charges, GPS hire, toll fees, visas and vaccinations.
• The Holiday is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and non-refundable. There is no cash alternative. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative prize, of equal or greater value, at the Promoter’s discretion. All elements of the prize are subject to availability.
• The prize provider for this Holiday is Destination British Columbia (Destination BC is registered in BC, the company number is 843214339RT0001 and the office is registered at 12th Floor, 510 Burrard Street, Vancouver, BC, V6C 3A8) on behalf of KBC PR & Marketing (KBC PR & Marketing is registered in England, the company number is 03939517 and the office is registered at Delta House, Freshmill, 16 Bridge Road, Haywards Heath, RH16 1UA) and Journeyscape. Journeyscape is a brand of Journey Latin America Ltd. Registered in England. Company Number 1474705. Registered Office: 401 King Street, London W6 9NJ.
• Upon booking their Holiday, the winner will be bound by and subject to the prize provider’s terms and conditions, which are available at https://www.journeyscape.com/travel-hub/booking-conditions/.
• In addition, the prize winner will also win one voucher from Weird Fish Clothing to be redeemed only at weirdfish.co.uk. The voucher is valid until 31 December 2025.

GENERAL

By entering the competition you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (which may be amended or varied at any time by the Promoter with or without notice) and by our decisions which are final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
By entering into this competition, you are not giving Destination BC, Journeyscape, or Weird Fish permission to contact you for other marketing purposes, unless you have opted-in to do so when entering the competition. All changes to the Terms and Conditions will be posted in revised terms and conditions on the website. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
